Located at the Yoyogi Park end of Shibuya, Tomigaya is a low-key neighborhood with a stylish vibe and eclectic mix of shops and restaurants. The area has many chic cafes where you can enjoy great coffee. Here are two popular examples.

Fuglen Tokyo

Fuglen's owner, a Norwegian, fell in love with Tomigaya, so he chose to open Fuglen's inaugural Tokyo branch in this neighborhood. Vintage furniture gives this cafe a homey ambiance. The fruity Nordic light roast coffee and Tomigaya Lemonade, an alcoholic cocktail exclusive to this branch, are must-tries. Fuglen operates as a bar at night and has another branch in Asakusa.

CAMELBACK

Camelback, which has two shops in Tomigaya, serves up gourmet sandwiches and coffee. It's known for its dark-roast espresso. Camelback's food offerings are a fusion of Japanese and Western ingredients. Its prosciutto and shiso (perilla), sardine, and Tokyo-style BLT sandwiches are best-sellers. Stop by for a chat with the friendly owners of this laid-back cafe.
