Interactive Dining at TREE by NAKED yoyogi park

NAKED, INC., a digital art collective known for its work at Kyoto's Nijo Castle and Tokyo's Kanda Shrine, used its expertise to create this cafe combining art and food. Forest-like decorations mirror the seasons, creating a delightful setting in which to enjoy healthy meals. (Takeout okay.) Dinnertime involves VR, projection mapping and music. Indeed, meals turned artwork with projection mapping are a sight to see.

Ukiyo-e Art with Your Coffee at ORI TOKYO

This Ryogoku-area cafe, a modern take on an old-Tokyo teahouse, fuses old with new and art with dining by decorating its interior with Jacquard-woven versions of Hokusai’s Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji ukiyo-e (woodblock) prints. The cafe both exhibits and sells art, so you can leave lunch with unique Tokyo souvenirs.
