Central Tokyo’s largest park

Kasai Rinkai Park

Opened in 1989, Kasai Rinkai Park is conveniently located directly across the Edogawa River from Tokyo Disney Resort, with spectacular views of Tokyo Bay. It was built with the aim of restoring and preserving the natural habitat of the bay. It is a perfect respite from the city, filled with walking trails, grassy areas, beaches and gardens. There is something for everyone here—Japan’s second tallest Ferris wheel, an impressive aquarium, a large play area for kids, and designated barbecue areas. One third of the park is comprised of a sea bird sanctuary, a can't-miss for bird enthusiasts. A small train takes you on a 25 minute tour of the park.

Take in epic views from this impressive structure

Crystal View

This building, a rest area-cum-observation deck, was designed by Yoshio Taniguchi, a famous Japanese architect. The remarkable piece of modern architecture opens onto Tokyo Bay, framing the area like a photograph. Its walls are formed by cage-like bars, making it almost completely transparent. From the outside, one can see the people within, an image of nature and humans harmonizing together. It offers spectacular views of the surrounding areas.

See more than 600 species of marine life at this state of the art aquarium

Tokyo Sea Life Park

Located in the middle of Kasai Rinkai Park, Tokyo Sea Life Park is home to marine life from the local waters of Tokyo Bay to the Arctic Circle and everywhere in between. The aquarium’s entrance is marked by an impressive glass dome that rises above the trees of the park, designed by Yoshio Taniguchi in 1989. The aquarium’s most impressive feature is its 2,200-ton tank of bluefin tuna, the first in the world designed specifically so the tuna can move in their natural swimming pattern. This aquarium features more than just fish. It has seabirds like auks and puffins and one of the largest collections of penguin in the country. It also has a hands-on exhibit great for kids, featuring sea urchins, stingrays, and crabs.
