In Katsushika City, Horikiri Shobuen Iris Garden and Mizumoto Park host an Iris Festival from May 25 through June 14. As its name suggests, Horikiri Shobuen Iris Garden has long been famous for its irises, inspiring artists such as Utagawa Hiroshige and Utagawa Toyokuni. It's home to 6,000 of them, representing approximately 200 varieties, with a focus on Edo Japanese irises.

Mizumoto Park is one of the best parks in Tokyo with a waterside landscape. It offers captivating seasonal views, such as cherry blossoms in spring and colorful foliage on the park's dawn redwoods in autumn. You can enjoy 14,000 irises of around 100 varieties each year.

The Iris Festival features shows and parades during the weekend, light displays at night, and more. Check the event schedule, then head out and enjoy the festival.
