Tokyo Yosakoi is held every October as the second part of the Fukuro Matsuri festival. Around 5,000 dancers in 110 teams gather in Ikebukuro for what is the largest yosakoi festival in the region.
Performers in colorful costumes showcase powerful dancing that incorporates regional folk music. The finale on the last day, featuring all of the performers, is a must-see.
