The Tokyo Koenji Awa-odori Dance has become one of the standout festivals of the Tokyo summer, with more than 10,000 dancers and a million spectators. Embedded within its 68-year history is the desire to bring cheer and joy to the town and people through the smiling faces of the performers.
This year’s performances are not only outside, but also held at two locations with thrilling stage shows presented during the day. Enjoy the return of passionate Awa-odori dancing to the streets of Koenji over two days.
