The Tokyo Port Festival (Minato Matsuri) is held annually to commemorate the opening of the Port of Tokyo, which happened on May 20, 1941.
This year marks the 85th anniversary of the port's opening. The festival will take place at the Tokyo International Cruise Terminal.
The two-day event offers a variety of attractions, including a PR booth where you can experience working at Tokyo Port, public tours of unique ships that are usually off-limits, and a chance to step inside a refrigerated container.
Additionally, at the Port Stage, you can enjoy performances by government agency music bands and various other stage programs, as well as food trucks.
Furthermore, on the day of the event, on a first-come, first-served basis, you can also board boats such as water buses and water taxis that operate in Tokyo Port.
