Japanese Calligraphy Workshop Wayoh Japanese Calligraphy Class

2 Chome−14−12, Yushima, Bunkyo City, Tokyo

Your current location:

The art of Japanese calligraphy

If you have been inspired by the strokes of a Japanese kanji character, you will relish shodo, the cultural tradition of writing calligraphy with a brush. Request your favorite word and learn how to write it from the class instructor. Then, practice until you are confident—or your hands are steady enough—to ink your character onto a fan or a piece of paper that can be framed up. Finish off your work with a personalized hand stamp of your initials in hiragana.
