4-14-9 Tateishi(within Tokyo Wazarashi Co., Ltd.), Katsushika City, Tokyo

Your current location:

Let’s try dyeing seasonal patterns onto tenugui (hand cloths)

You can dye seasonal patterns onto Japanese tenugui (hand cloths) using the traditional chusen dyeing technique, whereby a special glue is used to prevent the dye impregnating the cloth after the dye is poured on. Tenugui develop a richer hue the longer they are used. Why not take this opportunity to dye your own cloth to create a tasteful once-in-a-lifetime tenugui?
