The Spring Peony Festival is held from mid-April to mid-May each year at the peony garden of Ueno Toshogu Shrine in Ueno Park. In mid-April, bleeding hearts reach full bloom, while in early May, the Chinese peonies take their turn. Enjoy Japanese sweets, tea, and other refreshments in the garden's rest area. This is a chance to relax and admire the beauty of a traditional Japanese garden in the heart of Tokyo.
