Tokyo Marathon 2025 will be held on March 2. The race welcomes 38,000 runners from around the world and features full marathon and 10.7 km courses. The 10.7 km run includes divisions for junior/youth, people with visual impairments, people with intellectual disabilities, organ transplant recipients, and wheelchair users. Participants can enjoy running through the heart of Tokyo while safely competing for a personal best. One of the greatest attractions of the Tokyo Marathon is that everyone—not just the runners, but also the spectators cheering along the course and the volunteers supporting the event—can share in the excitement. Please come and experience "The World's Most Exciting Marathon" for yourself.
Note: On the day of the race, there are road closures and traffic restrictions in place.
The marathon's Tokyo Running Festa promotion campaign starts on Saturday, February 22. Participants can receive free gifts by showing a Running Festa button badge at certain retailers and facilities. The campaign lasts until March 31, keeping the spirit of the run going throughout the month.
