Area around Nihonbashi, Yaesu, Chuo City, Tokyo
2018-11-28 - 2019-2-14

Tokyo Illumilia fuses traditional Japanese culture and cutting-edge lighting technology to bring a touch of the Edo period to streetlights. LED lights twine around branches on the cherry trees at every crossing on Sakura-dori Avenue. The result is a gate of lights at each crossroads. Around 150,000 champagne-gold LEDs connect these gates of light in an elegant display that brings a festive flair to the area.
