Tokyo Dome City Winter Illuminations: Celebrate Edo Chic and Japanese Glamor 東京ドームシティ ウィンターイルミネーション ~江戸の粋・日本の華~

1-3-61 Koraku, Bunkyo City, Tokyo
2018-11-7 - 2019-2-17

The theme for 2018's winter illuminations at Tokyo Dome City is "Japanese style." This event's motif is traditional crafts, including Edo kiriko, a centuries-old style of glassware. The sparkle and design of kiriko glass are reimagined in light displays.
One display changes like a kaleidoscope in reaction to people's movements, while a six-meter tall origami tree features paper cranes and balloons. Also, by pressing a switch, you can set off a 100-meter-tall display designed to look like fireworks.

Through this special light-up exhibit, you'll discover genuine Edo kiriko items and the intricate details of umbrellas from Gifu Prefecture. Explore the world of Japan's chic traditional designs interpreted through the latest lighting technology.
