The Mount Takao Autumn Leaves Festival, held from November 1 through 30, is the mountain's busiest season. On weekends and holidays that month, concerts, taiko drumming and yosakoi dancing will be held at the square next to Kiyotaki Station, near the cable car that will take you up the mountain. Halfway up Mount Takao, there will be an exhibition of Tokyo-made kokeshi dolls. If you want to take one home, you can buy them. You can also enjoy sake served in traditional square wooden boxes.
