This museum displays art collected by artist Machiko Hasegawa, author of nationally renowned manga series Sazae-san. In 2020, the Hasegawa Machiko Memorial Museum was opened across the street. The Memorial Museum's permanent exhibitions introduce the life and work of the artist. The museum also puts on temporary exhibitions, and features a museum shop and cafe.
