Mt. Kurato is located just north of Lake Okutama. This lush, wooded area is great for a day outdoors and is home to monkeys. If you're an avid hiker, take a 20-minute bus ride from Okutama station to the Kurato-guchi stop. From there, exercise your legs by following a trail that runs from Nippara to Mt. Kurato and down to the lake.
