Mt. Kurato is located just north of Lake Okutama. This lush, wooded area is great for a day outdoors and is home to monkeys. If you visit in the spring, you can also take in the beautiful Yamazakura variety of cherry blossoms. Mt. Takanosu is also accessible from here.
