Shikian 子規庵

2-5-11 Negishi, Taito-ku, Tokyo

Visit the home of a literary leader at Shikian. Once a nagaya (samurai quarters), haiku and tanka writer Masaoka Shiki lived and worked here until his death in 1902. Travel back in time to the Meiji period as you walk through the grounds of this historic landmark.
