Ichiyo Memorial Museum 台東区立一葉記念館

North of Asakusa you can find Ichiyo Memorial Museum, a museum commemorating female novelist Ichiyo Higuchi. See handwritten manuscripts and poems, as well as other artifacts from her life. After your visit, you may see this Meiji Period female literary leader around town—on the 5,000 yen bill.
