Oji Inari Shirine 王子稲荷神社

1-12-26 Kishi-machi, Kita City, Tokyo

Established during the Heian period (794-1185), this Shinto shrine is home to the god Inari. The fox is the god’s messenger, and to honor this foxy agent, local people parade past the shrine as foxes every New Year's Eve. Drop by in February and shake off the winter cold by joining in the revelry of the shrine's kite festival.
