Tachikawa Park 立川公園

Shibasaki Tachikawa-shi Tokyo

Enjoy a stream stroll in this expansive park

Tachikawa Park covers a large area that spreads across the Shibazaki and Nishiki neighborhoods. The park is well-equipped with a gym, a baseball ground and a track and field stadium.

The Negawa Greenery Road is a popular leisure walk as it follows a beautiful stream. Follow the stream as it flows from Zanbori River down to the Tama River. The shallower zones are a great spot for children to play in, and you can spot some the streams aquatic residents in some of the deeper sections. If you come around April, you can see cherry blossoms crowding the banks of the stream.
