Spiral is a cultural facility in Aoyama, Tokyo. The multipurpose facility is home to exhibition spaces, lifestyle shops, and restaurants. The first floor "Spiral Garden" holds free exhibitions, while other areas offer paid performances and talk events.
Designed by architect Fumihiko Maki, Spiral demonstrates the finest of 1980s post-modern architecture. The facility's theme is "a fusion of art and everyday life." Lounge in the cafe on the first floor, take in the events, and walk up the floating spiral slope to the second floor.
