In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), various facilities around Tokyo may change their operating days or hours. In addition, some events may be canceled or postponed. Please check official facility or event websites for the latest updates and information.
On a fine day, you will be able to catch a generous view of Mt. Fuji, Izu Peninsula, and Izu Islands from the Kambiki Observatory on Shikinejima Island. The views offered here are the opposite of what busy, urban Tokyo is often perceived as. The coast itself has an intriguing, rugged look to it. You will have to walk up 100 steps to get to the observatory's top, but judging by how blue and clear the waters are, the effort is worthwhile.
For updated information on opening hours, closings, prices, and more, please check the official website or ask the facility directly.
