Ikegami Baien (Plum Garden) 池上梅園

2-2-13 Ikegami, Ota City, Tokyo

Floral displays that transform with the passing seasons

Ikegami Baien Plum Garden is a strolling park located a five-minute walk from Ikegami Honmonji Temple. The park is most popular between February and March, when around 30 kinds of plum trees produce fragrant red and white blossoms. It's also home to around 800 vibrant blooming Japanese azaleas in spring, while June is when the park's hydrangeas come to life
Take some time to wander through Ikegami Baien, and you’ll stumble across its two Japanese tearooms, Seigetsuan and Chouuan, which are open to the public throughout the year. Follow the stairs to witness the park's beauty from the staircase landing and the observatory itself.
