Only a few-minute walk from Asakusa Station lies Sumida Park—home to big annual firework displays and cherry blossom viewing events. You can take long walks along the Sumidagawa River with a generous view of Tokyo Skytree.
With around 450 cherry trees, you'll find Sumida Park especially crowded during the cherry blossom festival season. Have a picnic, or take the waterbus to enjoy the cherry blossoms from the river. The sight becomes even more majestic as the trees are illuminated at night.
