In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), various facilities around Tokyo may change their operating days or hours. In addition, some events may be canceled or postponed. Please check official facility or event websites for the latest updates and information.
Only a few-minute walk from Asakusa Station lies Sumida Park—home to big annual firework displays and cherry blossom viewing events. You can take long walks along the Sumidagawa River with a generous view of Tokyo Skytree.
With around 500 cherry trees, you'll find Sumida Park especially crowded during the cherry blossom festival season. Have a picnic, or take the waterbus to enjoy the cherry blossoms from the river. The sight becomes even more majestic as the trees are illuminated at night.
For updated information on opening hours, closings, prices, and more, please check the official website or ask the facility directly.
