Sumida Park 隅田公園

1-1 Imado/7-1 Asakusa/ 1-1 Hanakawado/ 2-1 Hanakawado, Taito-ku, Tokyo

Riverside park with views of the Tokyo Skytree

Only a few-minute walk from Asakusa Station lies Sumida Park—home to big annual firework displays and cherry blossom viewing events. You can take long walks along the Sumida River with a generous front view of Tokyo Skytree.

With around 510 cherry trees, you'll find Sumida Park especially crowded during the cherry blossom festival season. Have a picnic, or take the waterbus to enjoy the cherry blossoms from the river. The sight becomes even more majestic as the trees are illuminated at night.

How to Get There

  • Asakusa Sta. | 5 mins on foot
Ginza Line | Asakusa Line | Tobu Isesaki Line
  • Take a Toei bus To42 Ko or To42 Otsu and get off at the bus stop Hanakawado.
