In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), various facilities around Tokyo may change their operating days or hours. In addition, some events may be canceled or postponed. Please check official facility or event websites for the latest updates and information.
Also known as Tokyo-ko Yacho Koen, Tokyo Port Wild Bird Park is a lush nature preserve located on the waters of Tokyo Bay—a 25-minute monorail ride from Haneda Airport. The area has become home to an eclectic group of wild birds that build their nests here in summer and migrate to the area in winter. To make the most of your visit, explore the observation huts scattered around the park, before heading over to the four-story Nature Center, which offers panoramic views of the area.
Get a closer inspection of the park by using the on-site telescopes and browse the center's well-stocked bird book library. If you want to learn more about bird watching, visit on a Sunday morning to join in on the park's nature walks designed for novice birdwatchers.
