Kiyosu Bridge 清洲橋

Nihonbashi-Nakasu, Chuo-ku/Kiyosumi, Koto-ku, Tokyo,

Take an evening stroll along the Kiyosu Bridge to admire Sumida River's scenic beauty

Walk five-minutes from Kiyosumi-shirakawa Station and you'll find the Kiyosu Bridge stretching over the Sumida River. Offering scenic views of the area including Tokyo Skytree, combine a visit to the bridge with a laid back afternoon stroll through nearby Kiyosumi Gardens. As the day rolls into evening, the bridge’s elegant silhouette is illuminated, providing an excellent photographic opportunity for amateur and professional photographers alike.

Architecturally significant, the bridge was designated as a cultural asset of national importance, as it was the first self-anchored chain suspension bridge in Japan. The bridge was modeled after the Deutz Suspension Bridge located in Cologne, Germany.
