Yebisu Garden Place stands on the former grounds of the Yebisu Beer Brewery, which in 1890 created one of Japan's top-selling beers. It's now a multipurpose complex, home to the Museum of Yebisu Beer, which communicates the history and appeal of that classic beer. There's also a hotel, a cinema, and an art gallery, as well as a range of restaurants for both casual and fine dining.
*The Museum of Yebisu Beer is currently undergoing renovations. Construction began October 30, 2022 and is expected to end by the end of 2023.
Yebisu Garden Place, located within walking distance from Ebisu Station on the JR Yamanote and Tokyo Metro Hibiya lines, feels inspired by the architecture of a European city, replete with wide plazas, cobblestones, gardens, and even a French-looking chateau.
Various events are held here, such as "YEBISU Marche," a market focusing on organic and natural products. The Baccarat chandelier displayed at Yebisu Garden Place from November each year has become emblematic of winter in Tokyo. It is one of the largest chandeliers in the world.
This urban oasis also contains the Westin Tokyo hotel, the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum, and Châteaux Restaurant Joël Robuchon.
