A tropical paradise in Tokyo

Yumenoshima Tropical Greenhouse Dome in Tokyo's Koto City transports visitors to a tropical jungle. This impressive complex of three interlocking domes towering up to 30 meters high hosts around 1,000 species. Its environmentally-friendly air conditioning system makes use of excess heat energy from an incineration plant. You will find banana trees, carnivorous plants, palms, tropical water lilies, mangroves and more. The third dome focuses on the plant life native to the remote Ogasawara Islands, a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site valued for its extraordinary biodiversity.
