Be enlightened at this retro-modern museum
Located on the second and third floors of KITTE, JP Tower Museum INTERMEDIATHEQUE is a public facility jointly operated by Japan Post Co. and the University Museum, the University of Tokyo (UMUT). The facility doesn't present a set route for visitors to follow—you are instead invited to wander freely, dictated by your interests.
Most of the specimens and documents on display represent various disciplines such as anatomy, archeology, biology, engineering, geography, geology, mathematics, modern art, and paleontology, to name but a few. The facility also presents special exhibitions and various events, the latter mainly held in a vast room using actual cases and cabinets from the university's lecture halls. Don't be surprised if you end up losing yourself all morning or afternoon.
