In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), various facilities around Tokyo may change their operating days or hours. In addition, some events may be canceled or postponed. Please check official facility or event websites for the latest updates and information.
Located in Kitanomaru Park in Chiyoda City, just a short walk from Takebashi Station, you'll find the Science Museum. With four levels of hands-on exhibits, you can easily spend a few hours of scientific discovery here. The museum's displays cover all facets of scientific exploration, from the technology of bicycles to space exploration.
While many of the displays are in Japanese, if you ask at the front desk, you'll be provided with a booklet in English to guide you through the exhibits. At the end of your visit, be sure to pop by the museum's gift store, which stocks a wide range of novel scientific gifts and souvenirs, including dried space food. There's also a cafe on the basement floor.
General admission: 880 yen
