Kyu-Iwasaki-tei Gardens 旧岩崎邸庭園

1 Ikenohata, Taito City, Tokyo

Stroll through the former residence of one of modern Japan's most powerful families

Nestled on the southern corner of Ueno park sits the towering former residence of the Iwasaki family—founders of Mitsubishi and one of Tokyo's most powerful business families. Surrounded by lush gardens, visit the grounds if you find yourself with a little extra time after visiting Ueno Park.

As you wander through the grounds you'll find a Japanese-style building, a Swiss style billiard room, and the American and British inspired Pennsylvanian and Jacobean style house.
