Shinjuku Southern Terrace 新宿サザンテラス

2-2-1 Yoyogi, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo

Shinjuku Station's quieter side

One of Shinjuku's largest pedestrian zones, Shinjuku Southern Terrace is 350 meter long promenade flanked by Shinjuku Station, Odakyu Southern Tower, and Takashimaya Times Square.

Shinjuku Southern Terrace is a welcome resting spot for Tokyo explorers. It features well-manicured shrubbery, open-air cafes, restaurants, and retail stores—grab a cup of coffee and observe the flow of people at one of the world's busiest train stations. Aside from its convenient location, the area is especially popular in the colder months due to its annual winter illuminations that attract visitors from all over Tokyo.
