Breathtaking island views and starry skies

Minamigayama Park is located on the southern side of Mt. Miyatsuka on the southern point of the island. The sprawling hillside park features a large, open lawn space that is perfect for picnics. On sunny days you can see the neighboring islands of Miyakejima and Mikurajima (also known as Mikurashima) in the distance. On clear nights you will have a beautiful view of the stars and ocean. The park is most easily accessed by car.
