Rokudoyama Park 六道山公園

2261 Ishihata Mizuho-machi Tokyo

Lakes, trees and great views over Tokyo at this huge park

Rokudoyama Park is an island of green nestled in the Sayama hills, to the west of central Tokyo. One of the largest parks in the capital, you can explore on foot or by bicycle. There are streams, lakes, rice paddies, woodland and more to see.

Climb to the top of the red-brick observatory for great views over Tokyo. On clear days you can see as far as Japan's iconic Mt. Fuji. If you're visiting in late March to early April, you can enjoy the abundant cherry blossoms around the observatory as well.
