Inokashira Park Zoo 東京都井の頭自然文化園

1-17-6 Gotenyama Musashino-shi Tokyo

A quaint park zoo with plenty to explore

Located in Kichijoji’s Inokashira Park, Inokashira Park Zoo is a popular, family focused park filled with an eclectic collection of animals. The zoo is separated into two individual parks, the Main Park and the Aquatic Life Park—home to a number of water loving birds.

Take a couple of hours to spend time with the zoo's residents, including the raccoon like tanuki, adorable fennec foxes and the regal red-crowned crane. If you have more time, explore the park’s on-site botanical garden, amusement park, the Seibo Kitamura (Japanese sculptor) Museum and library which was once owned by Japanese poet Ujo Noguchi.
