In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), various facilities around Tokyo may change their operating days or hours. In addition, some events may be canceled or postponed. Please check official facility or event websites for the latest updates and information.
Located in Kichijoji's Inokashira Park, Inokashira Park Zoo is a popular, family focused park filled with an eclectic collection of animals. The zoo is separated into two individual parks, the Main Park and the Aquatic Life Park—home to a number of water-loving birds.
Take a couple of hours to spend time with the zoo's residents, including the raccoon-like tanuki, adorable fennec foxes, and the regal red-crowned crane. If you have more time, explore the park's on-site botanical garden, amusement park, the Seibo Kitamura Museum (named after and dedicated to a Japanese sculptor), and a library that was once owned by Japanese poet Ujo Noguchi.
General admission: 400 yen
