Oi Racecourse (Tokyo City Keiba) 大井競馬場(東京シティ競馬)

2-1-2 Katsushima, Shinagawa City, Tokyo

Your current location:

Affectionately known as TCK, this famous racetrack hosts unforgettable “twinkle races”

Located only a stone’s throw from central Tokyo in Shinagawa City, Oi Racecourse is home to Japan’s first nighttime “twinkle” horse races which are held annually from spring until the end of the year. Various points on the track are brightly illuminated after sunset, creating a remarkable atmosphere of sparkling lights.

This racetrack has produced numerous famous horses such as Haiseko and Inari One, and it hosts the ultimate dirt track races such as the summer Teio Sho and the end-of-the-year Tokyo Daishoten.

Plus, the “Tokyo Mega Illumination” held here in winter on non-race days also makes this a spot to be enjoyed by both children and adults. This event has been ranked the top must-see illumination event across Japan on the Walkerplus information-sharing website.
