Affectionately known as TCK, this famous racetrack hosts unforgettable “twinkle races”
Located only a stone’s throw from central Tokyo in Shinagawa City, this racetrack operates from spring until the end of the year and is home to Japan’s first nighttime “twinkle” horse races. Various points on the track are brightly illuminated after sunset, creating a remarkable atmosphere of sparkling lights.
This racetrack has produced numerous famous horses such as Haiseko and Inari One, and it hosts the ultimate dirt track races such as the summer Teio Sho and the end-of-the-year Tokyo Daishoten.
Plus, the “Tokyo Mega Illumination” held here in winter also makes this a racetrack to be enjoyed by both children and adults. This event has been ranked the top must-see illumination event across Japan for two consecutive years (2020-2021 and 2021-2022) on the Walkerplus information-sharing website.
