1-4-23 Mejiro, Toshima City, Tokyo

Your current location:

Art, design, history, and flea markets here at Toshima’s museum of stamps

The Philatelic Museum is a museum dedicated to the cultural, historical, and artistic aspects of stamps. The first-floor exhibition room is the heart of the museum, and home to theme-based exhibits that cover the cultural, historic, and artistic importance of stamps. These diverse exhibits change every four months. On the second floor, you'll find a specialist philatelic library.

A workshop is held on the third Sunday of each month, where you can make a collage using old stamps. There are special displays at certain times of year, such as the summer holidays and Christmas. And at the weekend, you might catch a postage stamp exhibition, or one of the museum's flea market events.
