Get a firsthand look at some Japanese art

The Nerima Art Museum was established in 1985 with a focus on modern and contemporary Japanese art. The museum has now expanded its range to include exhibits which feature works from many genres, including ukiyo-e woodblock prints, Western paintings, and picture books.

Exhibits are regularly held, drawing from a vast and diverse collection of Japanese modern art from artists with a connection to Nerima City, such as Ai Mitsu and Gyoji Nomiyama. Works in the museum's collection can also be browsed online.

The Nerima Art Museum is a popular destination for people looking to relax. A park, called Bijutsu-no-Mori Ryokuchi, is located next to the museum, and features 32 sculptures of animals.
