Explore a greener side of Tokyo
Volunteers and professional landscapers worked together to return a small part of Tokyo back to the wild. Akabane Nature Observation Park was created to allow visitors a chance to experience Tokyo without the concrete and train tracks.
The park features a natural spring, a pond filled with turtles and an acorn wood filled with trees native to the area. If you need a breather from Tokyo's sprawling infrastructure this is a good getaway.
Akabane Station is the nearest station to the park. It is about a 25-minute walk so arriving by bus or taxi is recommended.
