Hotel Gracery Shinjuku ホテルグレイスリー新宿

1-19-1 Kabukicho, Shinjuku City, Tokyo

Sleep under the watchful eyes of Japan's most famous movie monster

Although we all know the real Godzilla is currently sleeping deep in the waters of Tokyo Bay, you can see a pretty convincing life-size avatar of the towering beast by heading to the Hotel Gracery in Shinjuku.

In celebration of a new Toho cinema complex and hotel, a giant Godzilla bust was built overlooking the streets of Tokyo's Shinjuku district. There's a public observation deck, and the hotel offers themed food and drinks, but the true Godzilla fan experience is found in the hotel’s special Godzilla rooms.

Six of the rooms are "Godzilla View" rooms, where the King of the Monsters looms right outside your window, providing a sense of thrilling immersion. The other and far more expensive option is the one-of-a-kind Godzilla Room, adorned with classic posters, secret blacklight decor, and a huge claw breaking through the room. Guests in these rooms also have access to exclusive themed goods and amenities.
