Hosen-in Temple in Hinode Town is home to the wooden statue of Enma-o, said to have been made by Buddhist sculptor Ryokai in 1473. It's fondly known as the "Enma statue of Hirai." The statue was repaired in 2006, which allowed the vibrant colors of the original lacquer, used in the making of the statue, to reappear.
The wooden statue of Enma-o is designated as a Tangible Cultural Property of Tokyo.
