Harakado is a seven-story commercial complex that opened at the Jingumae Crossing in Harajuku on April 17, 2024. The facility features a wide variety of spaces, including fashion brands, dining venues, a free library, and art areas, offering visitors from around the world new cultural experiences in Harajuku. With its rooftop terrace, Harakado provides places to relax despite its lively city-center setting.
Harakado houses around 70 shops, covering a broad range of categories such as fashion, cosmetics, lifestyle goods, and food. On the first floor, the One Piece Mugiwara Store Harajuku offers official ONE PIECE merchandise, including limited-edition items and birthday-themed products. Luxury brands such as Dior and Zenith, as well as hair salons like PEEK-A-BOO, are also among the tenants. Detailed information on each floor and shop can be found in the official store directory.

Lush rooftop gardens spread across the sixth and seventh floors, offering panoramic views overlooking the Jingumae Crossing. Open to the public free of charge, this rooftop garden provides sweeping views of Omotesando and Tokyu Plaza Omotesando Harajuku “Omo-hara” across the street. Plenty of terrace seats are available, making it a convenient place to rest or enjoy a meal between shopping stops. Visitors can experience an open and relaxing atmosphere while staying in the heart of the city.

A wide variety of cafes and restaurants are located across multiple floors of the complex. One highlight is Angelina on the second floor, a long-established Paris-born salon de thé where guests can enjoy its signature Mont Blanc desserts and rich hot chocolate on-site, with takeout also available. Specialty dining venues offering items such as burgers, banh mi, gelato, and Japanese cuisine are found on the fifth and sixth floors. Takeout food and sweets can also be enjoyed on the rooftop terrace.

At COVER on the second floor, you can freely browse a broad selection of magazines, especially Japanese publications. Read at your leisure from a collection that dates back to the 1960s and covers a wide range of genres, including fashion, culture, and design. Even if you don't speak Japanese, you can still enjoy the unique aesthetic of the nation's magazines, which feature distinctive photo compositions, layouts, and color usages. COVER is a great place to learn about the latest trends and design sensibilities emanating from Harajuku, as well as the publishing developments in Japan—all while taking a break from your shopping trip.
