These custom-designed manhole covers feature the motif of "Black Jack," a manga created by Osamu Tezuka. Mr. Tezuka spent his last days in Higashikurume City, and he once participated in the Coming-of-Age Ceremony held by the city. There are six manhole covers in the city featuring "Black Jack".
