Custom-designed manhole covers throughout the city feature mecha designs by mechanical designer and Inagi City native Kunio Okawara, whose mecha designs are featured in countless anime. The manhole cover designs include mecha from Mobile Suit Gundam, Yatterman, Shippu! Iron Leaguer, Armored Trooper VOTOMS, and Inagi City’s official character Inagi Nashinosuke.
