There are custom manhole covers located in eight spots throughout Kodaira City that feature Tokyo Dorompa, the mascot of J.League team FC Tokyo, which has a training ground in Kodaira City, as their main character. Other characters featured on the city's manhole covers include the city's official mascot character, Burubei, and the Kodaira Fureai Sewerage Museum’s microbe character Hirugatawamu-chan.
