Hello Kitty Manhole Covers ハローキティマンホール蓋

There are three types of Hello Kitty manhole covers located in the vicinity of Tama-Center Station! These designs are the “Hello Kitty After the Rain" (left) and “Sunshower Hello Kitty" (right) installed in December 2017. The extremely popular theme park Sanrio Puroland is located near Tama Center Station, and as Tama Center goodwill ambassador, Hello Kitty is a major contributor to activity in the Tama Center area.

This is the “Road Bike Hello Kitty” manhole cover installed in March 2020. It is located in Tama Central Park, a five-minute walk from Tama Center Station. In this design, Hello Kitty is riding a road bike as a reference to the famous Minamitamaone-kansen Avenue cycling course that runs by Tama Center Station.
