A place for creative exchange between cultures
The Tokyo Arts and Space Residency hosts both Japanese and foreign creators as part of an international art network. It provides residents with a place to stay and creates opportunities for them to do research and make art.
The Residency Program is conducted with partner institutions around the world, welcoming artists to Tokyo and sending Japanese artists abroad.
There are also programs that anyone—including artists, curators, architects, and designers—can apply to. Participants will be able to research or create during their residency while getting inspired by what Tokyo has to offer. The "Open Studio" program is open to the public and showcases the work of creators currently in residence.
Note: The Tokyo Arts and Space Residency is only open to the public during events.
