Spend a quiet afternoon by the Tama River at Kamanofuchi Park. The park also contains the Ome City Provincial History Museum, which conveys the history of Ome, as well as the former Miyazaki Family Residence, distinctive for its thatched roof, which was built at the start of the 19th century as a typical farmhouse. Visit in late March when you can see cherry trees along the river in full bloom.
