The Minato City Local History Museum is a base for Minato City-focused learning, exploration and interaction, on the topics of nature, history, and culture. It opened in 2018, and is housed in a former public health clinic. The building was completed in 1938, and has since been preserved and renovated.
The permanent exhibition (which has an admission fee) introduces Minato City through a variety of materials and digital displays. The information about the city is categorized into three themes. There is also a cafe and museum shop, and the building itself is free to visit.
